FILTER and CHEVELLE rev up for tour. According to Addicted to Noise / SonicNet, Richard Patrick's industrial outfit, Filter, will return to stages near you, this time enlisting Chevelle and Oleander as opening acts. Fresh from performing in Europe and Australia, FIlter is set for an additional month of touring in support of their 1999 gold record, Title of Record, beginning with a February 24 stop in Hawaii and ending March 31 in Florida.

KID ROCK wants his kid. Kid Rock (born Robert Ritchie) is in the midst of a custody battle for his son, Robert Ritchie, Jr. MTV reports that the boy's mother, Kelley South, wants the child under her custody because of his father's busy touring schedule. A hearing is set for February 7.

STP is done doing time. Scott Weiland is officially a free man, having completed his penance with the Los Angeles correctional system. Rolling Stone reports that STP's first gig with their recently released frontman will be at South By Southwest, an annual music industry conference in Austin, Texas, Saturday, March 18.
